Wavecom strengthens presence to Deliver Innovative Technologies Across Europe

Wavecom continues to expand its footprint in the European market with the establishment of Wavecom GmbH, headed by the CEO Karsten Micke, with an office in Munich.

Wavecom GmbH is handling and dynamizing the channel based market across Europe for transport connectivity solutions and ensuring that more companies across Europe have access to state-of-the-art solutions for real-time connectivity and operational efficiency.

At the core of this initiative are Connected BUS and Connected Rail, two comprehensive solutions that integrate advanced onboard gateways with a powerful management platform. These technologies enable seamless connectivity, enhanced fleet monitoring, and optimised operational processes, addressing key challenges in modern transport and mobility ecosystems.

According to Mário Rui Santos, Co-CEO of Wavecom, this agreement marks an important milestone in the company’s journey: “Through this strategic agreement, we are accelerating the adoption of innovative transport connectivity solutions in the European market. Looking Ahead: New Gateway Solutions from Wavecom

WAVECOM is introducing a new generation of 5G onboard gateways and its orchestration web platform, which provides centralized management of services. The new gateway version provides Dual 5G Modems and up to seven additional eSIM profiles can be used alongside the physical SIM cards.

The whole system is made for large scale deployments, with full centralized control and management, thus providing Zero Touch Provisioning and the option for remote maintenance by the operator and manufacturer.

These innovations strengthen Wavecom’s position as a leading provider of advanced connectivity for the transportation industry.
